One thing that can't be overstated is the importance of Early Childhood education. Salt Lake City School District's Early Childhood Department will begin the online application process to apply for the 2025-2026 school year on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, and will continue to enroll during the summer, until classes are full.

The Early Childhood Office will be contacting families to set up scheduled appointments after applications are reviewed in May to finalize PreK placements for next year. Here is a list of options for PreK enrollment:  

PreK3 half day class options for children who turn three by September 1, 2025  

• Dilworth, Edison, Liberty, Newman, and Parkview Elementary schools   

PreK4 half day class options for children who turn four by September 1, 2025   

• Dilworth, Edison, Escalante, Liberty, Mountain View, Newman, Parkview, Washington, and Whittier Elementary schools   

PreK4 full day class options only apply for children who turn four by September 1, 2025   

• Backman, Beacon Heights, Edison, Franklin, Indian Hills, Liberty, Meadowlark, Mountain View, North Star, Parkview, and Washington Elementary schools  

 
 
Parents will be required to pay a one-time registration fee and monthly tuition for this optional PreK program. The first day of PreK begins Tuesday, August 26, 2025. We appreciate your help to share this information, as it helps us in advertising this information with your school community.
