About Me

I grew up in southern Utah in Cedar City, and graduated from SUU. I am married and have 4 children (2 boys and 2 girls), and 2 grandsons. I have taught for 17 years, 2 years in Arizona on the Navajo Indian Reservation, and the rest here at Newman Elementary. I have taught all grades Pre-K through 6th grade. I became the Librarian here at Newman 8 years ago. I love being the librarian because I get to see all of the kids in the school AND I am surrounded by books! I became a reader in 6th grade when my teacher introduced me to “The Hobbit”. From then on, I was hooked! I love reading all types of genres, but fantasy and mystery are my favorite. I love story time because I get to share great stories with the children and teachers. I love to see the kids and their families. Feel free to come in and visit the library sometime:)
