Born in Salt Lake City Utah, lived in Missouri, California, raised in Holladay.

I worked in Human Resources for 13 years before I transitioned into education.  After my son was diagnosed with Autism I found that I was able to help other parents whose children had disabilities.  I enjoyed working with other children with disabilities and started to work for Tooele County School District.  Initially I was a bus aide for the "Autism Unit", next transitioning to a Para Educator in the "Autism" classroom, finally I applied for an ATP Program to gain my Severe Endorsement and Teaching License through Utah State University and was hired as the teacher for "The Classroom for Children with Autism" in Tooele.  I enjoyed my time spent there and the many learning experiences.  After working for the district for eight years I realized that it was time for a change and applied for the position teaching grades 4-6 Functional Academics here at Newman Elementary.  This is my second year at Newman and I love it.

When away from school I love to spend time with my family.  We love traveling both to Disneyland and Disney World.  I also love training for and running half marathons.  This spring I will begin to train to ride in bicycle races.  It kind of scares me because you can go so fast, but I am also excited.  In the winter months I love spending quality time outside with my family snowshoeing and sledding.  When trapped indoors I love to read, scrapbook, play with my cats, watch movies, and make sure that all of my activities are spent with family and friends.
